The Autumn of My Springtime

Experience Gabriadze Theatre's moving production, 'The Autumn of My Springtime.' Set in the aftermath of World War II in Kutaisi, it follows Boria Gadai—a small but courageous bird left to care for grandmother Domna after organ grinder Varlam’s passing. Boria’s journey involves accidental theft, a budding romance with Ninel, and a cascade of emotional, thrilling incidents. With exquisite puppetry and evocative Georgian folk music and dance, the play blends nostalgia, sorrow, hope, and delight, reflecting tales dear to its creator’s heart. Premiered in Lausanne in 2002. Performance runs 90 minutes. Suitable for ages 12 and up. The theatre’s bar opens for ticket holders at 18:00; guests welcome from 8:30pm. Please arrive on time—late entry not permitted to preserve the intimate atmosphere. Gabriadze Theatre hosts between March and April 2026.
