Experience Carl Orff’s powerful ‘Carmina Burana’ at the Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theatre from March 26 to 29, 2026. This exciting staging combines dance and choral grandeur in a one-act ballet-scenic cantata. Featuring opera soloists, the full ballet company, chorus, and orchestra under the baton of Zaza Azmaiparashvili. Choreography and set design by Ilya Jivoy, with costume design by Sonia Vartanian and lighting by Konstantin Binkin. The principal chorus master is Avtandil Chkhenkeli, assistant chorus master Irma Getsadze, and ballet masters Nino Ochiauri, Lali Kandelaki, Lana Mgebrishvili, and David Ananeli. Artistic Director of the Ballet Company is Nina Ananiashvili. First premiered in Tbilisi in 2022, this celebrated production spans roughly 1 hour. Age restriction: children under 6 allowed only at daytime shows. Late arrivals may enter during the first interval. Smart dress required; shorts are not permitted. Tickets from 20 to 120 GEL.
