Experience Carl Orff’s electrifying 'Carmina Burana' as both a ballet and scenic cantata at Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theatre, March 26 to 29, 2026! This spectacular production features soloists, chorus, ballet company, and orchestra. Acclaimed choreographer Ilya Jivoy directs, with Zaza Azmaiparashvili conducting and Avtandil Chkhenkeli as principal chorus master. Costume design is by Sonia Vartanian, set design by Ilya Jivoy, and Nina Ananiashvili serves as the ballet company’s artistic director. Originally premiered in Tbilisi in October 2022, this piece brings Orff’s dramatic score and medieval poetry to vibrant life. Performances are at 19:00 (March 26-28) and 15:00 (March 29). Children under 6 are permitted at the day show (March 29). Dress code applies (no shorts). Latecomers enter only at first interval. Tickets: 20-120 GEL.
