Vladimir Sorokin in Tbilisi

vie., may. 8 · 20:00 Vakhtang Salaridze Concert Hall (Beliashvili 68)

On May 8, Vakhtang Salaridze Concert Hall (Beliashvili 68), Tbilisi, hosts an evening with Vladimir Sorokin, one of Russia's most influential contemporary authors. Sorokin, known for game-changing works like "Blue Fat," "Day of the Oprichnik," and "Telluria," will read from his hit novel "Fairy tale," talk with the audience, and sign books. His writing has shaped post-Soviet literature, been translated worldwide, and appears in university syllabi across Europe and America. "Fairy tale," published by the independent imprint Freedom Letters (also known for Sorokin's banned novel "Legacy"), paints a raw post-apocalyptic vision of Russia and challenges concepts of power, faith, and the human spirit. Attend for a rare chance to experience literature’s boundary breaker in person. Books by Freedom Letters, bringing brave and voices banned in Russia, will also be available on site. The event is held in Russian. All ages welcome. Ticket prices range from 100 to 190 GEL.
