Mother of Kartli - Contemporary Dance Performance
"Mother of Kartli" is a 45-minute independent choreographic performance presented by the Zarqua Dance Company in Georgia. Directed by Kote Liparteliani with choreography by Megi Zarqua and text by Tea Beradze, the piece features six women dancers embodying various female identities—the mother, daughter, warrior, lover, lost soul, and woman in prayer—forming a collective story through movement. The performance blends contemporary dance with Georgian cultural elements, expressing strength, vulnerability, love, pain, and resilience. It portrays a woman who remains proud, silent, and unwavering despite inner storms, embodying tenderness and grace. The event takes place at Movement Theatre on June 15, 2026, with tickets priced at 10 GEL.
