"Don't Leave the Room" transforms real-life events into a provocative, interactive political satire in five episodes. This performance captures the struggles and resilience of five individuals from diverse backgrounds as they confront the social, economic, and cultural hurdles of modern Georgia. Staged by playwright and director Ketevan Samkharadze, with choreography by archprincessss, the production approaches serious issues such as youth unemployment, emigration, poverty, inaccessible education, and the narrowing space for self-expression with irony and wit. The creative team includes costume designer Dzhaba Kurtishvili, digital designer Tamar Samkharadze, MUA Georgi Kljain, videographers Nika Zubashvili and Dzhaba Kurtishvili, and photographer Giorgi Shengelia. The cast features the voice of Zuka Tsukhishvili, alongside Anka Didmanidze, Nina Kipshidze, Salome Esadze, Aniko Shurgaia, Luka Chibukhaia, and Nika Japharidze. Music is provided by Bacho Jikidze, Tornike Japhiasvhili, Blue Trio, and Madonna. English subtitles available. City Theatre, March 14. Ages 16 and up.
