The story transports the audience to distant India alongside an English teacher and his three children, exploring exotic culture, oriental wisdom, and a magical world. The plot centers on Basanta, the Brahmin's beautiful daughter, and Elizabeth, an English teacher whose goal is to make Basanta smile. A key storyline is the forbidden love between the servant Somilaka and Charlotte, immersing viewers in a colorful, magical fairy tale atmosphere reminiscent of a "real Indian midsummer night's dream," where reality and fantasy intertwine. The play features a talented cast and creative team led by author and director Ana Sanaia, promising an enchanting cultural and family-friendly experience.
