Zeller's 'Mother' on Stage

Florian Zeller's renowned play 'Mother' comes to the Marjanishvili Theater, marking the final installment of his celebrated trilogy. This production, staged by the Independent Theater Company 'GIENOS,' is directed by Davit Chkhartishvili. The play explores a mother's journey, revealing the sacrifices she makes for her family and the personal limits she faces. Acclaimed designer Tamuna Lomsadze is responsible for costumes and set design, with music by Meri Beroshvili. The talented cast includes Anna Matuashvili as Mother, Giorgi Tsertsvadze as Father, Dachi Babunashvili as Nikola, and Keti Luarsabishbili as Gogo. Supported by Tbilisi City Hall and Marjanishvili Theater, this is the first time Zeller’s trilogy has been staged by one director in Georgia. The emotional 90-minute performance invites the audience to reflect on the boundaries between self-sacrifice and self-loss. Recommended for ages 15 and up.
