Samanishvili's Stepmother
David Kldiashvili's "Samanishvili's Stepmother" is a tragicomic drama exploring the turmoil of transitioning from feudalism to capitalism and the social hardships that follow. The story centers on a widowed nobleman who decides to remarry late in life, a decision that deeply unsettles his son Platon. To prevent the birth of a new heir, Platon must choose his father's bride himself, leading to complex family dynamics and societal reflections. The production is directed by Giorgi Kashia, with artistic contributions from Anano Dolidze (artist), Giorgi Kobalia (choreographer), Aleksandre Kokrashvili (scenographer), and Nona Rogava (technical director).
