Theatre Factory-42 in Tbilisi stages a fresh adaptation of "Tootsie," with a new focus on the inner world and sacrifices of actors. Directed and designed by Levan Tsuladze, the story shifts the spotlight from film to acting, exploring what it means to dedicate oneself wholly to a role, and the professional and personal challenges along the way. Costume design is by Nino Surguladze, choreography by Tinatin Tsuladze, and music adaptation by Zurab Gagloshvili. Makeup is by Giga Bagration-Gogadze, video installations by Data Dvalishvili, and assistant director Nino Kalandadze. The talented cast includes Nika Kuchava, Ana Vasadze, Manana Kozakova, Teona Kokrasvhili, Duta Skhirtladze, JeJi Skhirtladze, Irakli Japara, Onise Oniani, Andria Gvelesiani/Buba Chogoshvili, Nino Tsuladze, Ana Gvanceladze/Mariam Gvinianidze, Luka Kalatozishvili, and Lasha Morchiladze. Performance starts June 11 at 20:00 and runs 150 minutes including one intermission. Recommended for ages 7 and up. Tickets range from 33 to 52 GEL, with a 15% discount on fourth-row seats for TBC Concept Visa and Visa Signature Travel cardholders. Theatre Factory-42 is located at 114 Tsereteli Ave., in a former Coca-Cola factory in Tbilisi and is dedicated to supporting independent theatre and creativity.
