A Jar of Wishes

A Jar of Wishes reimagines Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani’s classic fable through modern theatrical expression. Staged at Youth Theatre and directed by Giorgi Sultanishvili, the show blends traditional Georgian music, performed live and in compositions by Sulkhan Tsintsadze, with choreographed sequences featuring Georgian folk dance. Visuals evoke the world of Niko Pirosmani through striking video installations, while the performance uses folk poetry in place of the original fable text. Starring Sopho Peradze, Lali Gerkenashvili, and Giorgi Jikuridze, with choreography by Nika Nanitashvili and set design by Nino Kitia.
