A Jar of Wishes

Discover 'A Jar of Wishes,' an innovative performance at Youth Theatre inspired by Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani’s fable. Directed by Giorgi Sultanishvili, the production brings together choreographer Nika Nanitashvili, visual artist Nino Kitia, video installations by Irakli Khvtisiashvili, and original music from Giorgi Sultanishvili. The team includes assistant director Khatuna Sadzaglishvili, and stars Sopho Peradze, Lali Gerkenashvili, and Giorgi Jikuridze. The show transforms the plot of the classic story into a visually striking experience using Georgian folk instruments and compositions by Sulkhan Tsintsadze. Drawing on the art of Niko Pirosmani, the play incorporates immersive video installations. Featuring choreography with traditional Georgian dance elements, the production does not use the text by Sulkhan-Saba, instead building on folk poetry and a new script. The performance runs for 50 minutes, is recommended for viewers 7 years and older, and will be held on March 1, 7, and 8, 2026.
