Ancient Wine & Early Humans Tour
Discover Georgia’s deep-rooted history with an archaeological adventure guided by Giorgi Bidzinashvili, leader of the Orozmani International Expedition. Travel through 1.8 million years, visiting key sites like Gadachrili Gora—the birthplace of wine—where Neolithic farming and early viticulture began. Witness Dmanisi’s ancient wine cellar, explore the archaeological marvels of Orozmani and see the fieldwork behind major paleoanthropological finds. Dive into Bronze Age Kurgan culture to learn about ancient society and rituals. The itinerary balances field excursions with expert talks and concludes with a regional dinner blending local flavors of Kvemo Kartli and Svaneti. Tours are every Saturday and Sunday, 08:30–20:00, starting at Tbilisi's First Republic Square (Bicycle Monument). The program runs to June 21, 2026.
