Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theatre presents a grand production of Tchaikovsky’s iconic “Swan Lake,” premiering May 21–31. This two-act ballet is staged in a revitalized version by Nina Ananiashvili and Alexey Fadeechev, with choreography rooted in the tradition of Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov and a libretto inspired by Vladimir Begichev and Vasil Heltzer. The production features set design by David Monavardisashvili, costumes by Cyrille Gassilline, and lighting by Steen Bjarke. Principal conductors are Levan Jagaev (May 21–24) and Sirio Scacchetti (May 27–31), accompanied by the theatre’s own orchestra. Artistic direction is led by Nina Ananiashvili. Please note the dress code: shorts are not allowed. Children under six are permitted only for matinee performances. Ticket prices range from 15 to 120 GEL.
