Experience Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s timeless ballet, Swan Lake, reinvented by Nina Ananiashvili, at Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theatre from May 21 to 31. Libretto is inspired by Vladimir Begichev and Vasil Heltzer. The new staging and choreography are by Nina Ananiashvili and Alexey Fadeechev. Conductors include Levan Jagaev (May 21/22/23/24) and Sirio Scacchetti (May 27/28/29/31). The creative team features David Monavardisashvili (set design), Cyrille Gassilline (costumes), and Steen Bjarke (lighting). Tatyana Rastorgueva is ballet master, assisted by Ekaterina Shavliashvili. Children under six admitted only to matinees. Late arrivals permitted at the first interval. Shorts are not allowed—dress code is enforced.
