Marshal de Fantie’s Diamond

sáb., feb. 28 · 19:00 Gabriadze Theatre

Set in 19th-century Tbilisi, a wedding celebration beside the Mtkvari River is disrupted when General Vano Phantiashvili receives telegrams from France: his uncle, Marshal de Fantie, has died, and he himself is named heir to the legendary Monte Rosa diamond. Together with a vibrant group of friends—the worker Khecho, financier Zippo, machinist Porpile, and famed matchmaker Khanuma—they embark on an unpredictable adventure to Paris, encountering mishaps, schemes, and heartwarming camaraderie. Will the weathered general who survived the Napoleonic Wars accept his incredible inheritance? The play runs 75 minutes at Gabriadze Theatre. The "Ar Idardo" bar in the lobby is open to ticket holders from 18:00, and to all guests from 20:30. Children under 12 are not admitted. Late arrivals are not allowed after the show starts to protect the theatre’s unique atmosphere.
