Alfred and Violetta

Tue, Mar 31 · 19:00 Gabriadze Theatre

The renowned puppet play 'Alfred and Violetta', which opened the doors of the Gabriadze Theatre in 1981, returns renewed. Reimagined by Rezo Gabriadze during his final year and brought to life by director Leo Gabriadze, this production sets the iconic love story—famed through Dumas’ novel and Verdi’s opera—amid the turbulent streets of 1990s Tbilisi, as well as Milan, Khashuri, Rome, Abastumani, Venice, and Dighomi. The lovers' journey is fraught with challenges as they fight for love against changing times and places. The performance runs for 75 minutes. No latecomers admitted to preserve the intimate theater atmosphere. Entry for ages 12 and up only. Arrive early to relax at the Ar Idardo bar in the theatre lobby, open from 6:00 PM for ticket holders and from 8:30 PM for all guests. Experience a legendary story in a bold new form at Gabriadze Theatre.
