Alfred and Violetta

Sat, Mar 28 · 19:00 Gabriadze Theatre

Experience 'Alfred and Violetta' reimagined at Gabriadze Theatre. Originally inspired by Dumas' iconic novel and Verdi’s ‘La Traviata’, this timeless tale returns to the stage with a fresh creative vision. Before his passing, Rezo Gabriadze almost entirely reworked the production, with his son Leo Gabriadze directing its new form. The narrative unfolds in the heart of 1990s Tbilisi, amid real historical turmoil, but also spans Milan, Venice, Rome, Khashuri, Abastumani, and Dighomi. The lovers must fight countless obstacles for love to triumph. The performance runs for 75 minutes and is open to audience members ages 12 and up. Before the show, ticket holders are welcome at the 'Ar Idardo' bar from 6pm; all guests can join from 8:30pm. Late arrival is not permitted to maintain the show’s unique atmosphere. Scheduled performances: February 26, 27; March 7, 8, 10, 11, 19, 20, 28, 29, 31.
