Non-Local Locals
Paata Guliashvili Comedy Theater presents the premiere of 'Non-Local Locals.' Set in a Hamburg refugee shelter, four Georgians who hardly know each other must share a cramped room and adapt to German life. The play explores their unique personalities, struggles with a foreign environment, longing for home, clashes of culture, daily annoyances, and the enduring optimism and humor that help them cope. Language barriers, cultural curiosities, strict rules and bursts of Georgian fun create a lively atmosphere. The cast includes Shaliko Sepherteladze (Nika Arabidze), Emzar Khachidze (Vasil Grigalashvili), Nodar Sarchimelia (Rati Tvildiani), and Giorgi Andronikashvili (Paata Guliashvili). Written by Nika Ramishvili and directed by Paata Guliashvili, the show delves deeply into identity and belonging. In a twist, the newfound rights to stay and work in Germany make the characters realize how far they are from home, prompting an unexpected return to Georgia. Performances: April 3, 4, 5, 17. Age restriction: 12+. Tickets are limited.
