Don’t Leave the Room transports audiences into a bold, interactive theatrical experience, blending irony, tragedy, and reality inspired by the lives of five young Georgians. The play, written and directed by Ketevan Samkharadze, exposes the pains of a generation grappling with poverty, loss of freedom, and limited opportunities in a society haunted by neo-feudal capitalism and migration. Crafted with the vision of choreographer archprincessss, costumes by Dzhaba Kurtishvili, digital art by Tamar Samkharadze, make-up by Georgi Kljain, and video by Nika Zubashvili & Dzhaba Kurtishvili. The cast features Zuka Tsukhishvili, Anka Didmanidze/Nina Kipshidze, Salome Esadze, Aniko Shurgaia, Luka Chibukhaia, and Nika Japharidze. As the story unfolds, each character reveals personal battles, echoing the wider social and economic challenges facing Georgia’s youth, while inviting viewers to reflect and act. Music by Bacho Jikidze, Tornike Japhiasvhili, Blue Trio, and Madonna. Performed with English subtitles, on April 24, 20:00 at City Theatre. Tickets: 35 GEL.
