Hiking to the Foot of Mount Kazbek

• Hiking starts from Gergeti (Holy Trinity Church) at 2170 m and passes through some of Georgia’s most picturesque landscapes
• We go to Altykhat - a tourist shelter at 3014 m. Here the air is completely different: pure, thin, charged with mountain energy. Then back
• On the route, we’ll meet hikers who dared to climb to Kazbek’s very summit
ABOUT THE HIKING:
Total distance ~10 km, elevation gain ~800 m. Time on the trail ~6.5 hours. Difficulty: 9/10

What you need for hiking:
• definitely comfortable footwear (trekking boots)
• warm, comfortable clothing and a windbreaker
• sun and rain protection
• a 20–30 liter backpack
• minimal food and water supplies
