Sorrentino’s Soundscapes

Auditoria is becoming Simple Music House Tbilisi, the permanent home of Simple Music Ensemble World in Tbilisi. The concert series opens with a programme dedicated to music from Paolo Sorrentino’s films, exploring the contrast between the sacred and the mundane that shapes his cinematic world.

The programme includes:

• Claude Debussy — Des pas sur la neige
• Franz Schubert — Piano Trio No. 2 in E-flat major, Op. 100, D 929: II. Andante con moto
• John Cage — In a Landscape
• Lele Marchitelli — Surge of Excitement
• Max Richter — On Reflection
• David Lang — wed and I Lie
• Johann Sebastian Bach — Cello Suite No. 5: Sarabande
• Vladimir Martynov — The Beatitudes

Performers: German Markhasin, piano; Margarita Chernyshevskaya, violin; and Nikita Kravets, cello. The programme may change. Doors open at 19:30 and the concert starts at 20:00. The event takes place in Auditoria’s book hall. Tickets cost 55 GEL in presale and 60 GEL at the door.
