The Autumn Of My Springtime - Puppet Theatre Performance

"The Autumn Of My Springtime" is a captivating puppet theatre performance premiering in 2002 in Lausanne, Switzerland, now staged at Gabriadze Theatre. It narrates the tale of Boria Gadai, a small bird with a big heart, living in Kutaisi, Georgia, after World War II. Following the death of Varlam, the organ-grinder, Boria becomes the sole caretaker of grandmother Domna. Through a series of adventures involving love for the beautiful Ninel and unintended thievery, the story explores themes of dreams, despair, anger, and joy. The show is an enchanting blend of masterful puppetry, traditional Georgian folk songs, dance, and cherished memories of the author. The performance lasts 90 minutes. Children under 12 are not admitted. Audience members are invited to relax at the "Ar Idardo" bar in the theatre lobby before the show. Latecomers will not be admitted after the performance begins to maintain the intimate atmosphere.
