Walk Minsk’s Upper Town from the City Hall to the cathedrals

Start at Minsk City Hall and circle Freedom Square, where the Holy Spirit Cathedral, the Cathedral of the Virgin Mary and reconstructed historic townhouses stand close together. Continue down Kirilla i Mefodiya Street towards Zybitskaya Street and the Svislach embankment. This compact route reveals the city that existed before Minsk’s broad Soviet avenues and takes about 1–2 hours.

Come in the morning before events occupy the square, or after dark for the architectural lighting. Enter active churches only outside services. The walk itself is free.
