See Ali and Nino move after sunset

Ali and Nino Sculpture

Ali and Nino are two eight-metre figures by Tamara Kvesitadze. They slowly approach, pass through one another, and separate again; the meaning appears over a full cycle rather than in a single photograph. The most striking time is the transition from sunset to evening illumination.

The sculpture stands in Miracle Park beside the Ferris wheel. From Piazza, walk toward the port and continue along the water for 10–15 minutes; from Europe Square it takes about 15–20 minutes. Afterwards, continue naturally toward the lighthouse and Old Boulevard. Strong wind or maintenance can stop the mechanism, so still figures do not necessarily mean you arrived too early.
