Visit the Dormition Cathedral

Construction of the Cathedral of the Dormition of the Mother of God began in 2004 and continued in stages over the following years. This is a modern rather than historic church: white facades, a tall gold central dome, four blue side domes and a freestanding bell tower form a prominent ensemble in eastern Maladziečna. It serves as the cathedral of the Maladziečna diocese.

View the whole ensemble from across the street, then enter if the church is open. Respect the service schedule, keep quiet and ask permission before photographing the interior or people.
