Visit the Church of the Intercession of the Mother of God

The Church of the Intercession of the Mother of God was built on the old market square between 1867 and 1871. Its white body, tent-roofed bell tower, arched windows and decorative gables belong to the 19th-century Russian Revival tradition. It is one of the few buildings of old Maladziečna to survive and remains an active Orthodox church.

Begin by viewing the church from Staroje Miesca Square, then enter when the doors are open. Keep quiet during services, dress modestly and do not photograph worshippers without permission.
