Take a trip to Mir Castle
Mir Castle was begun in the early 16th century as a fortified residence; the Radziwiłł family later added a Renaissance palace to the Gothic complex. Damage in the 17th–19th centuries and a long period of neglect were followed by restoration, and the towers and residential wings now house a museum. The complex is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Allow several hours for the courtyard, permanent displays, tower stairs, earthworks and park beside the pond. Check the museum's official website before travelling, as opening hours, admission, route access and parking arrangements can change.
