Visit the Church of St Teresa of Ávila

Костёл Святой Терезы Авильской

The Church of St Teresa of Ávila was built in 1826–1829 with funding from Prince Franciszek Ksawery Drucki-Lubecki. A hemispherical dome, columned portico and restrained facades give the building its monumental Neoclassical character. The former Piarist college beside it connects the site with Ščučyn's educational as well as religious history.

View the church from across the street to take in the dome and portico together, then enter when the doors are open. This is an active Catholic parish, so avoid disrupting Mass and check service times in advance. The Church of St Michael the Archangel stands opposite.
