See Belarusian art at the Vashchenko Gallery
The Hawryla Vashchanka Gallery grew from a collection donated to the city by the artist and now forms part of Homyel’s Museum and Art Centre. The permanent display introduces a major figure in late-twentieth-century Belarusian art, while temporary projects show what the country’s art scene is doing now.
Check the current programme before visiting, as the temporary exhibition can shape the experience. Allow 1–1.5 hours for the main building on Karpovich Street. The gallery also runs an exhibition hall at 43 Lenin Avenue, so confirm which address hosts the show you want.
Cost: usually around BYN 3–5, but the price depends on the permanent or temporary exhibition.
Tickets: at the gallery ticket office; check the event listing for any online sales.
