Visit the Adam Mickiewicz House Museum
The museum stands on the family estate where Adam Mickiewicz spent his childhood. The present main house is not the surviving original: it was reconstructed to reflect its early-19th-century appearance and reopened with a new exhibition in 1992. The rooms contain editions of his work, documents, portraits, period objects and material about the poet's life, while recreated service buildings complete the estate setting.
Visit for both the memorial interiors and the story of Navahrudak that shaped Mickiewicz's imagination. Check opening hours and guided-tour arrangements beforehand. Allow at least an hour for the museum and its small grounds.
