Visit the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross
The Catholic parish in Svietlahorsk was revived in 1990, and the present church was built between 1992 and 1997. Its red-brick facade is formed by two tall towers and a lower central gable; narrow openings and steep roofs refer to Gothic Revival architecture. The modern church continues the Catholic tradition of old Šacilki, but it is not the surviving 17th-century building.
Study the symmetry and brick details of the main facade, then enter only when the doors are open. Do not walk around during Mass or photograph people without consent. Ask the parish in advance about service times and a suitable time for a quiet visit.
