Visit the Church of the Intercession in Čyževičy
The Church of the Intercession at Čyževičy was built in 1795. Despite closure and difficult periods during the 20th century, the timber church survived, was restored and is active again. Its connected volumes, blue boarding, white details, tall tented bell tower and dome express the local tradition of wooden church architecture.
The parish also maintains a church history museum devoted to the Salihorsk region and the priest and martyr Ioann Pankratovich, who served here before the repressions of the 1930s. Ask in advance about museum access and guided visits, and explore the active church without disturbing parish life.
