Visit the Church of the Nativity of the Mother of God

The small Church of the Nativity of the Mother of God was consecrated in 2000 and became the first Orthodox church in Salihorsk. Its white walls, gently arched rooflines and compact dark domes served the city as a cathedral before the church became part of the larger Nativity of Christ Cathedral complex. The card photograph shows this smaller church, not the newer great cathedral.

Study the soft rounded forms and the different scale of the buildings in the complex, then enter if this will not disturb a service. Check the timetable for each church separately, as the complex contains several sanctuaries and worship may take place in different buildings.
