Walk through the arcades of the White Stalls
The White Stalls were built in 1867 on the site of earlier wooden market rows to a design by architects Mikhailovsky and Savich. Repeated arches line both long facades, with individual commercial units set behind them. The complex is a rare surviving example of monumental civic architecture from a 19th-century Belarusian market town.
Walk along both arcades and around the end facades to appreciate the rhythm of the arches and stepped parapet. The units have different current uses, so do not treat the entire building as one museum and respect the working hours of organisations inside.
