See the Tyzenhaus Palace
Construction of the Pastavy palace began in the late 18th century for Antoni Tyzenhaus to a design by Giuseppe de Sacco, while the ensemble acquired its final Neoclassical form in the 19th century. A monument outside honours Konstanty Tyzenhaus, a Pastavy-born naturalist and pioneer of Belarusian ornithology.
Begin with the main facade, then walk through the surviving part of the old park. The building housed a hospital for many years, and the museum now uses selected rooms for exhibitions. Do not assume unrestricted access to every interior; check the current museum programme and entry arrangements in advance.
