Walk through Padnikolle Park

Padnikolle spreads across the slopes and Dnieper floodplain below St Nicholas Monastery. Begin at the upper entrance, where a long cascading staircase with terraces and fountains descends towards the park's main avenues. The route makes the change in elevation and the green river valley easy to appreciate.

At the bottom, follow the paths, pause near the river and return to the historic centre by a different route. There are many steps, and surfaces can be slippery after rain or in winter, so comfortable footwear is useful for an unhurried walk.
