Visit the Historical Museum in Chashniki

The Chashniki Historical Museum was founded in 1987 and opened to visitors in 1991. Its displays cover the district from its earliest archaeological finds to the present; the collection includes traditional clothing, ceramics, documents, household objects and works by woodcarver Anna Osipkova.

The museum occupies the Hurevich merchant's house, built in 1907. Chashniki is roughly thirty kilometres from Lepel, so confirm current opening hours and guided-tour availability by phone before making a dedicated trip.
