Visit Saint Casimir Catholic Church

Церковь Святого Казимира

Lepel's Catholic parish traces its history to the early seventeenth century, when Lew Sapieha gave the community a wooden church. The present masonry Church of Saint Casimir was built in 1857–1876 in the Classical style. Closed in 1935 and used for secular purposes, it was returned to the Catholic community and restored in the 1990s.

The church remains active, so visit outside Mass when possible or check the schedule in advance. Notice the symmetrical twin-towered façade, keep quiet inside and do not photograph people without permission.
