Walk from subtropical forest to sea views in Batumi Botanical Garden
Batumi Botanical Garden is a long route across the slopes of Green Cape, not a compact city park. Collections from different climate zones follow one another, with frequent openings toward the sea. A partial visit takes 2–3 hours; a substantial one-way crossing can easily take 4–5.
Buses 10 and 10a run from Batumi, while a taxi takes about 20–30 minutes. The key detail is that the garden has several entrances at different elevations. For a through-walk, choose the start and finish in advance and begin higher so most of the route descends. Do not accept a generic Botanical Garden pin in the map app—it may lead to the wrong gate. If returning by bus, finish at an exit with a clear stop rather than in a remote part of the grounds.
