Visit the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Mother of God
The church was built for a Carmelite monastery in 1639–1654 and acquired Vilnius Baroque features in the eighteenth century. After the monastery closed, the building passed to the Orthodox Church and was consecrated to the Nativity of the Mother of God in 1878.
The cathedral remains active, so check the service schedule before visiting. Its crypts are of particular historical interest, but access is not guaranteed and a guided visit should be arranged in advance.
