Walk along Cosmonauts Boulevard

The boulevard runs for roughly 1.6 kilometres and shows the evolution of post-war Brest, from 1950s and 1960s blocks to nine-storey buildings with shops built into their lower levels. At Masherov Avenue stands a 1978 bust of Brest Region-born cosmonaut Pyotr Klimuk.

Start at Masherov Avenue and follow the central pedestrian strip. The route takes about an hour and pairs well with Savieckaja Street when you want to see Soviet as well as pre-revolutionary Brest.
