Take a Trip to Bobruisk Fortress

Construction of Bobruisk Fortress began in 1810, and in 1812 its garrison withstood a prolonged siege by Napoleon's army. Separate barracks, gates, redoubts and sections of earthworks survive across a large area.

This is not a fully restored museum complex. Some structures are ruined or have restricted access, so view them from public routes and do not enter unsafe buildings. Allow several hours for the journey and the walk.
