Take a trip to Ruzhany Palace
The complex developed from an early-seventeenth-century Sapieha residence and acquired its ceremonial form in Jan Samuel Becker's reconstruction of 1784–1786. Fire and war destroyed much of the ensemble; the entrance gate and adjoining wings now house a museum, while the central palace remains a dramatic ruin.
Ruzhany is about 45 kilometres from Slonim. Allow time for both the museum and the courtyard, and check opening hours and any restrictions caused by continuing conservation work before travelling.
