Visit the Gavriil Vashchenko Gallery in Homyel

The gallery opened in 2002 after People's Artist of Belarus Gavriil Vashchenko donated 50 of his works to Homyel. The gift became the core of the collection, complemented by art from other Belarusian artists and temporary exhibitions.

Come for the paintings rather than a quick stop at the building, and check the Homyel Museum and Art Centre for the current exhibition programme. The gallery is in Homyel, about 50 kilometres from Rechytsa, so allow time for a separate trip.
