Walk along Lower Pakroŭskaja Street

Lower Pakroŭskaja Street crosses the historic centre from the foot of the Upper Castle along the Western Dvina. It acquired its present layout under the late-eighteenth-century town plan, while its historic name was restored in 2008.

Start near St Sophia Cathedral and walk east past Peter the Great's House, the former Epiphany Monastery buildings, old residences and museum façades. Treat this as a self-guided city walk and plan entry to individual museums through their separate ideas.
