Visit St John the Baptist Church in Masty Pravyja

The Catholic parish at Masty Pravyja is documented from 1539. Its old wooden church burned down in the 1980s, and the present red-brick church was built in 1990–1992 and consecrated in 1993. Its design reinterprets Baroque forms.

Make the short trip from Masty for the expressive façade and an interior whose main altar was modelled on that of the lost church. This is an active place of worship, so check whether it is open and avoid disturbing services.
