See St Elijah's Church in Masty

The first wooden Church of St Elijah on this site was built in 1910. During the Soviet period it was closed and converted into a club before burning down; the church was rebuilt in 1988 and later received a porch, bell tower and new domes.

Notice the elongated structure, pale cladding and dark tented roofs: the present appearance developed in several stages. This is an active church, so look around quietly and avoid disturbing parishioners or services.
