Visit the Cathedral of Archangel Michael in Mazyr
The building was erected in 1760–1775 as a church for the Bernardine monastery. It was consecrated as an Orthodox church in 1865 and is now the cathedral of the Turaŭ Diocese, distinguished by its twin-towered façade.
The crypt contains a memorial space for victims of political repression: during the Soviet period the monastery complex was used as an NKVD prison. The cathedral is active and crypt access may be restricted, so ask on site and avoid disturbing services.
