Old Batumi street-art route
Start at Europe Square and move through the smaller streets of Old Batumi toward Piazza Square and the port. The goal is not only to walk through the center, but to look for street art and unusual details: large wall paintings, small graffiti pieces, painted doors, old signs, mosaics, and balconies.
Suggested route:
1. Europe Square — explore nearby lanes and façades.
2. Memed Abashidze Street — look for small artworks, signs, and historic details.
3. Lanes around Piazza Square — leave the main streets and check the courtyards.
4. The Mazniashvili and Gogebashvili street area — a mix of port atmosphere, old architecture, and newer street art.
5. Finish near the Sea Port or Batumi Boulevard.
Mini photo challenge:
- find one large mural;
- photograph an old door or balcony;
- find a graffiti piece smaller than your hand;
- capture an old building and a modern tower in one frame;
- choose the best photo of the walk together.
Street art can be painted over or replaced, so treat this as an exploration rather than a fixed checklist. Go during daylight in dry weather and allow 1.5–2 hours.
